The Story of Bowman Bathrooms

…The journey of Bowman Bathrooms began with Jonny’s father, a self-employed plumber and bathroom fitter. He built a successful small business, passing a love for the crafts down to his sons, who later established their own successful bathroom fitting company in Edinburgh. Although Jonny initially pursued a different path as an engineer, he eventually joined his brothers in their venture, before personal circumstances led him back to Essex, where he decided to establish his own business, leveraging the skills and knowledge he had inherited from his family.

Though Jonny is the driving force behind Bowman Bathrooms, the company’s foundation rests on the family’s legacy of expertise and unwavering commitment to quality. Why “Bowman”?

Often asked why the company doesn’t share Jonny’s surname ‘Barclay,’ instead the name “Bowman” is a tribute to his fiancée: “Naming the business after someone I love ensures that I treat it with the respect and dedication it deserves.” Jonny Barclay.

Couldn’t Recommend Bowman’s Highly Enough

The whole experience with Bowman’s from the moment we walked into the showroom to the final day of installation was exceptional. Throughout the design stage Verity listened to our ideas and feedback and provided multiple design alterations until we had the perfect outcome. Our fitter, Stefan was superb! He explained what was being done every step of the way and checked in regularly to make sure we were happy. At the end of every day Stefan made sure everything was as clean and tidy as possible, he was kind, respectful and everything you could hope for but don’t often get in a tradesman. Matt, our tiler, was much the same and clearly very experienced. The finished tiling is beautiful. And finally Paul who provided great practical advice and on-site recommendations and amendments, all of which proved to be totally perfect. What Paul doesn’t know about bathroom fitting and design, you could write on the back of a postage stamp! Overall, it’s the best piece of work we’ve ever had done in the house and couldn’t recommend Bowman’s highly enough. We would definitely consider them again for any similar work in the future.
